Degaussing - secure deletion of data from magnetic
tapes
| The process of eliminating magnetization on a
media is called degaussing (the unit of measure of magnetic inductive
force is the gauss, named for mathematician Karl Friedrich Gauss).
As a special service we offer to degauss
all magnetic media with complete
reliability and confidentiality.
The magnetization of the media will be reduced up to –90db - after which data can't be
reconstructed. Accredited by NATO
for security measures under number 5836-99-500-5299 (60Hz) und Nr.
5836-99-591-3345 (50Hz) und Din 33858.
The content of the media devices is never read, copied
or analyzed in any manner. If desired, we can degauss the media at your
site. |

Degaussing removes all data,
formating and control track information from data tapes, leaving the
media in optimum condition for re-use or disposal. |
